Guaduas is
the birthplace of two national heroes who have transcended death: José Antonio
Galán, the captain of the revolution of Los Comuneros in 1871 and Policarpa
Salavarrieta, known as La heroina nacional.

Guaduas

The old house of the San Francisco Bridge, known as Patio del
Moro, became the Museum of Arts and traditions of Guaduas.

Salavarrieta.
The building was built around 1770, near the Plaza Mayor,
next to the San Francisco River Bridge.

of the Camino Real that joined this town with Honda during the
Colony. From this important point on the route of the Botanical Expedition
you could also see the movement of troops at the time of Independence.
